JEROMESVILLE, Ohio ­­— The Hillsdale FFA Chapter sent its Agricultural Sales Team and Novice Parliamentary Procedure Team to compete at the National FFA Convention. The Agricultural Sales Team placed 14th overall and received a silver rating.

Team members and their individual placings included:  Will Yeater, 39th; Ben Raudebaugh, 64th; Shelbi Long, 78th; and Adam Cutlip, 95th.

MINERVA, Ohio — The Minerva FFA Chapter attended National FFA convention with students, Mike Burton, Britney Wayts, Kaitelyn Wayts, Clay McKnight, Beth Eglie, and Bryce Fankhauser.

WEST SALEM, Ohio — Members of the Northwestern FFA Chapter gathered at the Flinn Farm for a meeting and movie night Nov. 7.

Ally Ruegg reported on the Ag in the Classroom committee. Members have visited Northwestern Elementary one time so far this year with the first lesson plan. The committee teaches elementary students about different aspects of agriculture, and will visit the elementary each month.

Shania Reed reported on the Wayne and Ashland County Fairs, where many Northwestern FFA members had a successful showing. Sydney Harmon reported on fair recycling. Cody Tegtmeier reported on Greenhand Conference, in which Northwestern FFA attended and hosted. Reiley Murphy reported on the soil judging teams, who had a successful season competing.

Katie Stull moved to participate in the job interview career development event. Emily Flinn moved to participate in bell ringing for the Salvation Army on Dec. 21.
After the meeting, Northwestern FFA Chapter members watched the movie, “Back to the Future.”

Members also assisted with dinner at the annual Wayne County Soil and Water Conservation District Banquet. Members helping were TJ Cromer, Brianna Faltisco, Marshall Geiger, Tori Hall, Sydney Harmon, McKayla Linscott, David Miley, Rae Rempher, Cody Tegtmeier, Kaci Way, Austen Wood, and Kierstyn Wood.
