Ohio Beef Expo hosts 340 purebreds

COLUMBUS — More than 30,000 cattle industry enthusiasts attended the Ohio Beef Expo held March 14-16 at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus. In its 21st year, the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association

hosted the annual event.

Over 340 head of cattle were sold in the various purebred sales for an average of $2,055.

The following are the results of the breed cattle shows.

Gelbvieh

  • Champion purebred female: KJSG MV Tabitha Ann, exhibited by Kelsey Sheeley, Hillsboro, Ohio;
  • Reserve champion purebred female: KJSG MV Tootsie, exhibited by Brandon Shannon, Hillsboro, Ohio;
  • Champion Balancer female: GGGE 3G Cowgirl Tempest, exhibited by Hunter Sheeley, Hillsboro, Ohio;
  • Reserve champion Balancer female: GGGE 3G Cowgirl Tiara, exhibited by Halee Allen, Hillsboro, Ohio.

Hereford

  • Champion bull: NS Safedeposit ET 618, exhibited by NS Polled Herefords, Mason, Ohio;
  • Reserve champion bull: Berg Class Act 94T, exhibited by Berg Polled Herefords, Dalton, Ohio;
  • Champion female: SR Miss Reload 26T, exhibited by Spring Rock Herefords, North Canton, Ohio;
  • Reserve champion female: SSF 262D Karen 703, exhibited by Son Shine Farm, North Lawrence, Ohio.

Limousin
