CANTON, Ohio — Green Energy Ohio joins the nonprofit American Solar Energy Society and hundreds of solar-savvy installers and grassroots organizations throughout America to showcase more than 5,000 solar-powered homes, schools and businesses in Ohio and across North America for the annual National Solar Tour, the world s largest grassroots solar event.
This is the 10th year GEO has hosted the event in Ohio. Visit www.greenenergyohio.org/ost to build your own renewable energy and energy-efficiency tour based on your region, technology interests and time availability.
This year’s tour will focus on two themes: the business community (through Oct. 5) and homes and community spaces (Oct. 6-7).
Looking for a guided tour? Stark County will be hosting a free bus tour Oct. 6, that will include visits to seven locations in the county, including sites that showcase geothermal and energy efficient features, solar photovoltaic, solar thermal and wind turbines.

All tour members will meet at the Stark State College, Business & Entrepreneurial Studies Center, 6200 Frank Ave., NW, in N. Canton. Free parking is available. Lunch will be provided at The Wilderness Center, sponsored by Dovetail Solar and Wind.
