BEACH CITY, Ohio — Leslie “Les” Howard Howell, 72, of Beach City died May 19, 2009, at his home following a brief illness.
Les was born Jan. 8, 1937, in Somerton, Ohio, the son of J. Blanche Skinner Howell of Beach City and the late Howard R. Howell.
He retired from Norfolk & Western Railroad in Brewster, Ohio.
In addition to his mother, Les is survived by his wife, Leatha Ross Howell of the home; son, Howard Leslie Howell of Brewster; one grandson; sister, Beverly McFarren of Beach City; and brother, Frances H. Howell of Newcomerstown, Ohio.
In addition to his father, Les was preceded in death by his brothers, James F. Howell and Patrick R. Howell.
According to his wishes, all arrangements are private and at the discretion of the family.
