CANTON, Ohio — It was a good year for snow removal equipment at Terry’s Truck & Trailer Equipment, where the company recorded its best year ever in equipment sales.
“We see more customers interested in the trailer line and more customers interested in purchasing snow removal equipment,” said owners Carole and Terry Beall. “Due to our new location, we are reaching more customers that need trailer repairs done and welding and fabrication.”
The company began the purchase of its new facility in Jackson Township, and started selling Tilman Dump Trailers in May. The facility is larger with more storage area outside to better serve customers.
Demand for snow removal
Sales of trailers and snow removal equipment continue to do well, and the new location is reaching more customers that need trailer repairs and welding and fabrication.
Sales are doing well, thanks in part to continuous improvements to the equipment. And the new regulations for trailers will expand the trailer repair portion of the business.
The company offers sales, parts and service for Boss Snow Removal Equipment, Air-Flo salt spreaders, TruckCraft dump bodies & D-Icer sales, Magnum & Swenson salt spreader, and Tilman Dump Trailer, as well as trailer repair, welding and fabrication.
They date back to 1980, when the company started as service station offering fleet maintenance in Greensburg, Ohio.
A new building was constructed Greentown, Ohio, and fleet maintenance was expanded. Snow removal equipment came along, as did sales and dump bodies.
The owners see steady growth for the future and employs seven full-time workers. The growth all comes down to satisfying the customer.
“We treat our customers like we would like to be treated at any other business,” the Bealls said. “We try to help our customer’s any way that is possible. Our business has expanded from that philosophy.”
