MASSILLON, Ohio — Founded in 1919, Ziegler Tire Co. now employs 65 people at a number of locations in the eastern United States.
Most recently, the company opened a new commercial store in Pittsburgh, doubled its retread capacity at the Cincinnati store and opened a commercial store in Independence, Ky.
According to Harold Ziegler Jr., the company’s assistant treasurer, Ziegler Tire Co. offers new tires for farm vehicles, industrial and off-the-highway vehicles, large and small trucks, passenger cars and implements with name brands like Firestone, Armstrong, Michelin, Bridgestone, Dayton, Kelly, McCreary and Michelin retreading, rims and wheels for industrial, truck and farm use.
Ziegler attributes the company’s long track record of success to knowledgeable and trained employees, proper equipment, an adequate inventory and an outstanding reputation.
He cites the cost of insurance and fuel as challenges to the business, but expects the company to grow by adding new customers and providing more services.
