Candy Corn Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter flavor Crisco
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • Candy corns

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together Crisco and sugar.
  3. Add vanilla, salt, soda and yolks to bowl.
  4. Beat with electric mixer.
  5. Incorporate flours to form dough.
  6. Form dough into balls, space out on an ungreased baking sheet.
  7. Bake 10 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat.
  9. Working quickly, press candy corns into cookies.
  10. Cool on baking sheet.
