  • 1 1/4 s graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 sugar
  • 1/4 margarine, melted
  • 2 1/2 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese
  • 3/4 sugar
  • 4 teaspoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 1/2 s cranberries
  • 1/2 water
  • 1/2 sugar
  • 1/4 brown sugar
  • 1/4 chopped walnuts


Combine cracker crumbs, sugar and margarine and mix well; press onto bottom and sides of greased 9-inch springform pan. Beat cream cheese with electric mixer until soft; slowly add sugar. Continue beating; add next 5 ingredients. Add egg yolks 1 at a time, beating after each addition. Pour into prepared pan and bake in preheated oven at 500° 8 minutes. Reduce heat to 200° and bake 45 minutes more. Cool then refrigerate. Meanwhile, bring berries and water to boil over medium high heat; continue cooking 10 minutes. Add sugar and brown sugar; cook about 3 minutes more or until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat; add walnuts. Chill mixture until cold; pour over cheesecake and chill again. To serve, unmold cheesecake onto serving dish; cut into small wedges.
