Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake

Reader’s Recipe : D. Flinner of Canton, OH

Ingredients:

  • 1 chocolate cake mix
  • Eggs and water (as per box mix)
  • 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 tub chocolate frosting
  • 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
  • Chopped peanuts for garnish

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease and flour a 13″ x 9″ x 2″ baking pan, set aside.
  3. Prepare cake as directed except omit oil, add peanut butter.
  4. Pour batter into pan, bake as directed. Cool completely.
  5. Mix chocolate frosting and peanut butter until smooth; frost cake.
  6. Sprinkle chopped peanuts on top if desired.
