Going through the motions of holiday decorating has felt very much like a grand finale to me as I prepare to pack up the contents of this home.

As Christmas nears, I have had the great joy of looking at this season through the eyes of a Southern friend.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be famous? Just the other day, I was working at my coffee house job.

Time flies, as we know all too well. What I am realizing more and more is that there are interesting ways in which the passing of time is noticed and measured.

Sometimes, in the midst of living life, we forget the importance of fun and games in the big scheme of things.

Have you ever noticed that words of praise lift us momentarily, while sharp words of criticism often linger, prompting thoughts of what we should have said in response, over and over, for days on end.

Hasn't autumn been extraordinary this year? November blew in, and each day so far has been as mild as a day in May.

So many things in this world keep right on changing, but one thing remains constant. We will age, some gracefully, some fighting the inevitable every step of the way.

Think back on your favorite book or your favorite movie, and I'd be willing to bet there was one mighty aggravating character you just loved to hate.
