CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Zane Trace FFA officer team for the 2008-2009 school year traveled to Lancaster High School April 17 for District 7 officer training.

During the event, the officer team split into sessions for their specific offices to learn more about the jobs they will be doing in the upcoming year. After these sessions, they assembled as a group with other officers from schools in District 7 to listen to a guest speaker who talked about how important leadership is to organizations today.

They ended the business part of the night with the election of the 2008-2009 District 7 president.

ALLIANCE, Ohio — The Marlington FFA chapter has been planning its banquet set for April 30.

The horse judging team placed first in the district at the Ashland contest. Members included: Shelby Conrad, Shae Marshall, Christine Whitaker, Ashley Jenkins and Rebeka Jeffers.

The horticulture class went to Agiculture and Technical Institute April 18 for a floriculture contest.
