Estes Auctions of Medina, Ohio, held its monthly radio auction Jan. 22.
More than 150 radio collectors from 15 states bid on the William Fizette Collection from Pennsylvania.
Top-selling items included Atwater Kent Model 10 at $1,600, Model 3 Atwater Kent Bread Board Radio for $1,100, Western Electric 7A Amp for $1,050, iP-500 for $1,850, DeForest MR-6 for $1,400, American Radio Research Unit for $1,700, Grebe CR-3 at $900, Radio Instrument Stabalizer at $900, Zenith 2M AMP for $800, Kennedy 110 at $700, Paragon RE-5 for $750 and G.E. Crystal Detector for $675.
The weather was very cold, but everyone enjoyed the chance to bid on very early radios.
The next radio auction will be Feb. 26.
