There is nothing quite so delightful as a child at play, imagination at full mast, evoking our own childhood past.
I received a very important telephone call one day this past week. No, it had nothing to do with the national political scene, and it had nothing to do with a new telephone calling plan.
More important. It wasn’t a survey or a chance to win anything free. This was much, much more important than any of that.
This was from a very wise and wonderful 3-year-old boy.
“Hey, how ya been doin’ Aunt Dobee?” my niece’s little boy, Blayne, asked me.
He then went from shouting loud enough to be heard from his house to mine to a whispery voice that asked, “Have you seen Santa yet?”
Too early for Santa. I told him I hadn’t, but I thought it might be just a bit too early for Santa sightings.
