Hello from Hazard!

Two guesses came in for Item No. 875, sent in by Wayne Cooper, of Fombell, Pa.

Leslie Mohney thinks it is an alignment pin used when stacking Land and Sea shipping containers. The large containers have holes in the top and bottom corners that are used to fasten the containers to trucks. When stacked a pin is placed in the holes on the lower container and then the upper container is placed on top. The pin keeps the containers aligned and keeps them from slipping when moving the stacked containers with a fork lift.

Brandon Moss, of Conneaut Lake, Pa., believes the item may be an intermediate pin for metal scaffolding.

One guess came in for Item No. 876, also sent in by Cooper. Randy Winland, of Prospect, Ohio, believes it is a tool to set snap-type buttons on clothing.
