Noble County Friend of 4-H Award
2022 Noble County Friend of 4-H Award
Phil Lowe, Ruby Schockling, Matt Lawrence, Brian Thompson and Mike Thompson were recognized as Friends of 4-H at the 2022 Noble County Fair. Phil Lowe has been the fair veterinarian for many years and has spent countless hours over the years caring for animals. Ruby Schockling embodies the qualities of a Friend of 4-H, always looking for opportunities to expand and improve the 4-H program in Noble County. She has been a 4-H advisor for 23 years and is also a member of the Noble Co. Livestock Sale Committee and the Noble Co. 4-H Horse Council. Matt Lawrence was a 10-year 4-H member who is always one of the first persons to volunteer to help. He has helped with setting up for day camps at the fairgrounds, with junior fairboard activities and with providing support for a variety of activities. Brothers Brian and Mike Thompson are familiar faces at the Noble County Fair. Brian is a member of the senior fairboard and provides invaluable support to the 4-H program, the junior fairboard and the Noble Co. Livestock Sale Committee. He is always willing to help. Mike Thompson is also a member of the senior fairboard and gives countless hours to supporting activities at the fairgrounds and for the Noble Co. 4-H program. His children are involved in the 4-H program, and he is also the representative from the senior fairboard to the junior fairboard. Brian and Mike have spent countless hours this summer on various projects here on the fairgrounds, especially the new swine barn.
