CRESTON, Ohio — FFA week, Feb. 19–21, was a grand celebration at Norwayne High School as members showed their pride and increased the awareness of FFA in the community.
Tuesday, the juniors and seniors went to Creston Middle School to tell the children about FFA. The eighth-grade recruitment was a success with many signing up to come to FFA Fun Night.
The special event for Wednesday was making homemade ice cream. FFA students took turns in whipping up the ingredients, cranking the ice cream machines and putting the final product into cups for serving. Students and staff then enjoyed a small dish of homemade ice cream.
Thursday, a delicious meal was provided that consisted of grilled hamburgers and hot-dogs served along with taco salad, homemade cookies and pies.
All FFA members, faculty and staff of Norwayne, and FFA alumni members were invited to the meal.
Friday’s tractor drive-in was postponed to March 20 due to bad weather.
