Blue Gold Showdown held May 10 in West Virginia

MOUNDSVILLE, W.Va. — The Northern Panhandle Stockman’s Association of West Virginia held their annual Blue Gold Showdown Show May 10.

It was judged by Gene Steiner of Mason, Ohio.

Steers

The grand champion steer was exhibited by Chase DeGroat. Sean Gallagher had the reserve champion steer.

Heifers

In the heifer division Sara Campbell had both the grand champion and the reserve champion females.

A class was held for Marshall County exhibitors only, with Jeni Porter winning that division.

Showmanship

The showmanship classes were divided into junior and senior groups. The senior showman was Monica Drobezko, while Courtney Trimbach won top honors in the junior showman category.

The Northern Panhandle Stockman’s Association is a nonprofit organization located in West Virginia. They are devoted to the promotion and development of the beef industry.
