Dow AgroSciences, Barenbrug USA enter agreement

INDIANAPOLIS — Dow AgroSciences will co-promote BarOptima PLUS E34 tall fescue with beneficial endophyte, said Dow AgroSciences LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Co. (NYSE: DOW), and Barenbrug USA.

This agreement brings together market experience and technologies (improved seed, range and pasture herbicides) that will expand product lines and provide comprehensive, integrated solutions to improve livestock productivity.

Under the terms of the agreement, Dow AgroSciences will co-promote the patented BarOptima PLUS E34 tall fescue in the U.S. range and pasture market with an integrated program that eliminates tall fescue with harmful endophytes and establishes a pasture of tall fescue with beneficial endophytes that is safe, persistent, highly digestible and increases average daily gain of cattle.
