SALEM, Ohio – Through a special agreement with the promoters of The Farm Aid 2002 Tour, Farm and Dairy has acquired a limited number of tickets for the Sept. 21, 2002, concert at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Pavilion in Burgettstown, Pa.
Farm and Dairy will sponsor a bus brigade from Salem, Ohio, to the concert and back. Both lawn and pavilion tickets are available. Pavilion seats are $62; lawn seats are $35. A $15 fee will be charged per ticket for transportation. Farmer-subscribers are eligible for the concert tickets. Tickets are limited to four per subscriber and are available on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning Friday, Aug. 16, 2002, at 8 a.m. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Musical artists slated to perform are Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp, with a special solo performance by Dave Matthews, newest member of the Farm Aid board.
The event is billed as “a concert for family farmers and a future of good food for all.”
