WATERFORD, Ohio — The Waterford FFA chapter competed and placed third overall in the Eastern Regional parliamentary procedure contest held Sept. 16 at the Eastern States Exposition, or Big E.

Members that competed from the Waterford FFA chapter were Cameron Bookman, Blake Campbell, Jessica Coulter, Katrina Ford, Autumn Hendershot and James Whalin.

The team advanced to the Big E after placing second in the Ohio FFA parliamentary procedure contest in 2010. This was the first time for the Waterford FFA to advance to the Eastern States Exposition.

CRESTON, Ohio — Norwayne FFA members developed a Food for America program for the Norwayne Elementary fourth graders. The event was held at Ben-Alli Holsteins hosted by Roy and Lisa Mangun in Burbank.

The FFA members set up six stations that taught the students how food is produced and where it comes from. Following the station lessons, Roy Mangun gave a tour of the facilities.

This marked the 12th consecutive year the Norwayne FFA hosted this event.
