Hot rods ride into Ohio Expo Center


COLUMBUS – The Ohio Expo Center presents the Goodguys/PPG Hot Rod and Custom Car Nationals July 13-15.

About the event.

The three-day event will feature over 5,000 rods, customs, classics, street machines, muscle cars and trick trucks through 1972 vintage.

Favorites like hot rod roadsters, Boss 429 Mustangs and Pontiac GTOs will be displayed around the Expo Center.

Goodguys will award the 2001 “Street Rod of the Year” and “Street Machine of the Year” at the event. Entries for these prestigious awards come from all over the country.


Fox television star Christopher Titus, of the hit show Titus, will have an autograph signing appearance July 14 from 1-4 p.m.

Visitors to the event will have the chance to view demonstrations and buy products at special prices from the 250+ performance automotive companies who will be at the Ohio Expo Center.

Car auction.

Mecum Collector Car Auctions will also give car lovers the chance to buy their favorite hot rods July 14 at 11 a.m. A special preview of the sales stock will be from 9-11 a.m.

A special Friday Night Hot Rod Drag Race will be held in conjunction with the Goodguys PPG Nationals at National Trail Raceway in Hebron, Ohio.
