MECHANICSTOWN, Ohio — A pasture walk is planned for Oct. 20 at Anthony Steffen’s dairy farm, 4305 Meter Road, Mechanicstown, OH 44651 at 6 p.m. Anthony Steffen owns and operates this seasonal grass-based dairy farm.
Highlights of the pasture walk include a discussion on issues with tall fescue and utilizing annual forages. A social gathering with Eastern Ohio Grazing Council members, SWCD and NRCS personnel will follow the workshop.
Registration
Participants should bring lawn chairs. Refreshments will be provided. Agland Co-op and Circle L Fence LTD are sponsoring this event. Registration is requested by Oct. 17.
The Pasture Walk is presented by the Eastern Ohio Grazing Council in cooperation with Carroll, Columbiana, Harrison, Jefferson and Mahoning Soil and Water Conservation districts and the Natural Resources Conservation Service.
