Pork lovers asked to share their love

DES MOINES, Iowa — The Pork Checkoff has been celebrating the love of pork with consumers, through an integrated marketing program, including a national pork share-a-thon.

The national pork share-a-thon encourages pork fans everywhere to share their pork love by tagging their declarations of pork love on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with #PorkLUV. A real-time online engagement aggregator will track #PorkLUV as it crisscrosses the nation.

Pork fans who share their #PorkLUV help their state compete for a food bank donation of 30,000 meals of fresh pork. The state that shares the most #PorkLUV between Feb. 14 and March 7 will receive the pork, divided among food banks throughout the state.

In addition to supporting the cause, everyone who shares #PorkLUV will receive a $1-off fresh pork coupon.

Share #PorkLUV by visiting PorkBeinspired.com/PorkLUV or the Pork Be inspired Facebook page. Once there, simply click “Share your #PorkLUV,” elect your favorite pork cut and “Share” the love to add your #PorkLUV to the interactive map.
