HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Exhibitors led 112 entries at the 2005 Pennsylvania Angus Breeders’ Show July 7-9 in Huntingdon, Pa.
Senior show. Terry Muir of Wapakoneta, Ohio, evaluated the 85 females, 18 bulls and nine cow-calf pairs before selecting champions.
Shelby Dean of New Castle, Pa., led the grand champion bull, DCC Eric of Unique. He is an October 2003 son of Roths Millcreek Unique.
J D H Cattle Company of Dover, Pa., showed the reserve grand champion bull. J D H Topline 0534 is an April 2004 son of Vermilion Dateline 7078.
Dale Rains of Mercer, Pa., exhibited the grand champion female, Rains Skylight Charm Reba Fr. She is a February 2004 daughter of TC Freedom 104, and first won junior champion.
The reserve grand champion female was Cherry Knoll LSC Rosebud 401, a May 2004 daughter of Champion Hill Fullback 380 that first won intermediate champion. She is owned by Lacey Murray of Garrett, Pa.
Pairs. Katrina Frey of Quarryville, Pa., showed the grand champion cow-calf pair. K J F Pride K32-M35 is a January 2003 daughter of S A F Connection. A February 2005 heifer calf sired by C F Right Design 1802 completes the winning pair.
WA Mayflower R24 won reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Alexis O Boyle of Newport, Pa., owns the March 2003 daughter of Baldridge Kan Doo 200.
