COLLINS, Ohio – Plenty of awards were handed out during the Western Reserve FFA banquet May 7 at Western Reserve High School.
Major awards. The Star Greenhand award went to Richard Bolden. Katie Sparks earned the Star Chapter Farmer award. The Star Agri-Business award went to Naomi Kerby.
Honorary Chapter Farmer degrees were presented to Fred and Becky Albright and Criss and Pam Sparks for their dedication, service, and commitment to the FFA over the past years.
Outstanding members. The following members received the Outstanding Member awards: Ashley Felter, first-year member; Joe Zimmerman, Ag Science 2; Jacqui Rockwell, Ag Business 1; and Jessica Patrick, Ag Business 2.
The Blue and Gold awards went to Jeremiah Brogan, Ag Science 1; Rachel Kerby, Ag Science 2; Beth Albright, Ag Business 1; and Ashley Logan, Ag Business 2.
Scholarship awards were presented to Richard Bolden, Ag Science 1; Tony Bonner, Ag Science 2; Kiley Dill, Ag Business 1; Ashley Logan and Jessica Patrick, Ag Business 2.
Officers. The 2004-2005 officer team was inducted. The new officers are Jacqui Rockwell, president; Joe Zimmerman, vice president; Kiley Dill, secretary; Naomi Kerby, treasurer; Richard Bolden, reporter; Lisa Stepp, historian; Adam Dalton, student adviser; and Katie Sparks, sentinel.
