The meeting will begin again with a dinner buffet catered by the Des Dutch Essenhaus of Shreve. Following the meal, the annual business meeting will be conducted including the election of directors and recognition of 4—H members and supporters of the 4—H Dairy Auction.

Awards will be presented to the top producing herds and owners of top producing animals. The evening will conclude with a drawing for door prizes donated by area businesses and organizations.

Reservations for the event must be made by March 11 for the meal. Tickets for the dinner meeting are $$10 each.

Farmers who need their private pesticide applicators license renewed by March 31 are reminded five sessions will be held in Northeast Ohio. They include Williamsfield— Jan.15, Cortland— Feb. 12, Burton— Feb. 19, Perry—March 4 and Ravenna—March 19. A pre—registration fee of $$25 is required for each location and must be done 8 days prior to the session. For more information, contact the Ashtabula County Extension office at 440—576—9008.

 Pond Clinic Offered Beat the winter blues! Come to this free educational clinic and learn more about pond management, pond design, fish stocking, water quality issues, and vegetation growth among other topics. Mark Wednesday March 31^st on your calendar and plan to attend! This will be an informal question and answer session with a very knowledgeable speaker, Mr. Steve Fender. Steve has recently published the book, Farm Pond Management: A Common Sense Guide, and it will be available for purchase. Experienced pond construction contractors will be there and there will also be free educational information! Light refreshments will be provided.  Even if you don’t own a pond, but love to fish, or you don’t own a pond, but are thinking of building one, this program is for you also! The program will be held at the Wayne County Fairgrounds in the Armstrong Building, 199 Vanover St. Wooster, Ohio starting at 7 pm. Please RSVP to Wayne SWCD before March 29th—however, last minute attendees are welcome! Bring your questions and a friend!

Experienced farmers and those new to farming will benefit from this presentation discussing equipment commonly used on Ohio farms. There is no charge for this event and refreshments will be served
