WEST SALEM, Ohio — The Northwestern-Wayne FFA chapter held its final meeting for the year May 21.

There were three speakers for the evening. Jim Hitchcock, a representative from Town & Country Co-op, spoke on Answer Plot. Kelly Riley, from the Wayne County Soil and Water Conservation, spoke about a new program for recycling plastic that comes from hay bale covers and feed bags. Northwestern FFA alumnus Jerrin Hill came to speak about her trip to Africa.

The Ag in the Classroom committee reported on events from the year and the petting zoo held at the elementary school. The safety committee reported that members helped at the petting zoo.

A motion was made to park cars at the Twilight Tour July 18, as well as park cars and give safety talks at the Answer Plot July 11.

Members were also reminded about chicken pick-up, which will be in mid July.
