Enjoy the moment before it’s gone

So many things in this world keep right on changing, but one thing remains constant. We will age, some gracefully, some fighting the inevitable every step of the way. With each passing year, there is something lost and something gained.
Celebrate. Those who are mindful will celebrate each of these with a joyful heart. Those who have achieved wisdom will embrace this reality, knowing that all things pass just as they should.
I have had these passing landmarks on my mind, because both of my children have just celebrated birthdays. Cort is now 19, and as I write this, it is the evening of Caroline’s 17th birthday.
A friend jokingly asked if celebrating these two October birthdays makes me feel old. It didn’t take me long to answer
