Hazard A Guess: Week of Aug. 12, 2004.

Hello from Hazard!

Short and sweet this week, since no one hazard-ed a guess on Item No. 719, so we’ll show it here again this week.

But we received another confirmation of the Item No. 717 spelling as “dzus” from Bob Haake of Strongsville, Ohio. He says he grew up calling it a “dzus key” and the fasteners are often referred to as “dzus button.”

The slot in the fastener is “dished” and called “coin slot,” he adds.

Thanks, Bob, and all you aircraft lovers or mechanics who shared your knowledge with Hazard.
