A roundup of 4-H news for the week of July 14

BURTON, Ohio — The Geauga Caprine Kids 4-H club met June 7 at co-adviser Vivian Taylor’s house. The club was told the Rubber Duck Race earned a total of $2880.77, which will be split between the Metzenbaum Early Intervention Program and Santa’s Hideaway Hollow organizations.

The members then split into groups to work on their projects. Members are reminded to be ready for skillathon July 23 and that they must attend one of the mandatory Jr. Fair meetings to go to fair. The next Geauga Caprine Kids meeting will be held July 16 at the Patterson Center in Burton at 3 p.m.

BURTON, Ohio — Geauga Prime Time 4-H club met June 21 for their monthly meeting. Our club focus is on market steer, swine and poultry.
Our club participated in Relay for Life on May 21 and held a car wash on June 5th. Thank you to Tractor Supply in Chardon for letting us hold the car wash there.

Fair set-ups and plans were discussed. Upcoming mandatory meetings and dates for coming events were given.

The next meeting will be held July 19.
