WALNUT CREEK, Ohio — More than 400 people are gathering this week in Holmes County, for the 2015 National Guernsey Convention.
The awards banquet was held June 18 in Walnut Creek, and the breed sale will be held June 20 at Spring Hill Farm, in rural Nashville-Big Prairie.

Bill and Bev Wachtel of Spring Walk Farm, Nashville, Ohio, received the Master Breeder award.
The Tarbell Trophy went to Melinda Rush (center), of Lily Lane Farm in Oklahoma, and Trotacre Farm, of Enon Valley, Pa., represented by Laura Jensen (right)
The Distinguished Service Award went to Martha Turley, of Orient, Ohio. She farms with husband, Ralph, a past recipient of the award.
The Guernsey speech winners were Amber Dietz (left), senior division, Libby Sutton, junior division, and Ayla Blatt, intermediate.
The Liebers Trophy went to Walnut Rige Magic Farm, of Maryland, represented by Pam Moser.
Double Gold Star breed and herd winners.
