CANFIELD, Ohio — The Mahoning County Junior Fair Board held a socially distanced meeting at the Canfield Fairgrounds Aug. 20. Though many fair events have been cancelled, the junior fair is still trying their best to make it memorable.

The Ice Cream Social Committee mentioned a “grab and go” ice cream social where ice cream treats would be given out. Others suggested “grab and go” crafts that could be taken to be made at home.

Ward Campbell, president of the Senior Fair Board, talked to members about how important it is to wear masks and set a good example so other fairs can still go on as well. There was also a brief training for work schedules. Jim Moore, Junior Fair Board president, offered important tips for newer members and briefly described what this year’s jobs will look like.
