Hazard A Guess: Week of June 6, 2002

Hello from Hazard!

OK, we gave you an extra week to think about Item No. 650, and it still didn’t help. But I’m not going to give up on you: Here is the photo one last time, courtesy of Donald Hiet, New Springfield, Ohio.

If you think you know what it is, or can even hazard a guess, send your response to: Hazard a Guess, P.O. Box 38, Salem, OH 44460, or via e-mail to: editorial@farmanddairy.com.

One final response from Item No. 649, the “cow poke,” or gadget hung from an animal’s neck to prevent it from getting through or under a fence. We heard all the way from Naples, Fla., from Jeff Boyd, who discovered Hazard a Guess while on the Farm and Dairy Web site (www.farmanddairy.com). As he tells it, “a friend up north was telling me about all the auctions he attends. He directed me toward your site to check them out, and I found the Hazard a Guess.”

Glad you did, Jeff.
