- 2 s flour
- 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/3 to 1/2 cup milk
Sift together dry ingredients. Stir in beaten egg and melted butter. Add milk to make batter stiff enough to drop from spoon. Drop by spoonfuls into hot ham or chicken gravy. Cover pan tightly and cook dumplings 10 to 12 minutes. Do not lift cover until ready to serve.
