Recently, I have become a completely split personality when it comes to cooking.

Grandma, a.k.a., my mom, does her fair share of ordering delivery pizza, but when she has the time and audience, her homemade pizza is to die for. It’s her crust.

I easily snap 3,000 photos every month. It's probably closer to 10,000, but I edged the number down so as not to appear entirely crazy.

For many, it’s ‘out of the box’ thinking to consider having someone outside the family assume the ownership and management of a farm, but it may be a viable option to consider.

Many farmhands passed through our farm and each one became a part of our family. They were like brothers growing up, and I have fond memories with each of them.

The Hartzell family broke ground for an addition to the freestall barn last fall and wrapped up construction this spring. The goal is to increase the herd to 300 Holsteins.

I am rarely at a loss for words. In fact I tend to think — and write — in 800 word increments. But there are times when there simply are no words.
