KENSINGTON, Ohio — Jennifer L. Baker, 33, of 8080 Apollo Road, Kensington, Ohio, died Nov. 19, 2009, following a two-vehicle crash in Butler Township.

She was born April 10, 1976, in Salem the daughter of Richard and Kay (Stoffer) Miller.

A 1994 graduate of West Branch High School, Baker graduated from Kent State University with a degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in early childhood education and began her career at Maple Ridge Elementary School in 1999 as a fifth-grade teacher.

When Maple Ridge was closed in 2004, she moved with the teaching staff to Beloit, where she taught fifth grade and, eventually, third grade.

At West Branch, Baker served as a member of the District-Wide School Improvement Team, along with the Local Professional Development Committee. She was a member of the United Young Farmers and a former 4-H club adviser.

Jennifer and her husband, Brent, were co-owners of Bakers Acres Dairy Farm in Carroll County.

Survivors include her husband, Brent Baker; a son, Jacob and a daughter, Madilynn both at home; her parents, Richard and Kay Miller of Salem; a sister, Melissa Cope of Salem; two brothers, Michael and Mark Miller both of Salem; and her paternal grandmother, Isabelle Miller of Beloit.

Services will be held Nov. 28 at the Damascus Friends Church with the Rev. Bill Church and Roger Kitzmiller officiating. Burial will be in North Georgetown Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Nov. 27 from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. at the Damascus Friends Church and one hour before the service Nov. 28 at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Akron Children’s Care Unit, One Perkins Square, Akron, Ohio 44308.
