ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids will be received by the Director of Pub-
lic Service and Safety of the City of Salem, Ohio at
his office in City Hall, 231 S. Broadway Ave., Salem,
OH until 11:00 am on Friday, September 11, 2026,
at which time and place said bids will be publicly
opened and read aloud on the following:
The bidder shall bid on any of the following items
which his company can properly furnish to the City
of Salem, Ohio Police Department.
Mobile Radio Specifications 14 Radios
• Radios must support Analog, P25 conventional,
Phase 1 & 2 Trunking
• 35 Watts Transmitter Output Power
• Bluetooth and WiFi
• 4000 Channels, 100 Zones
• FIPS Certified AES/DES Encryption
• Single Band, 700/800 Mhz
• 3 Watts Audio Output Power
Portable Radio Specifications 30 Radios
• Radio must support Analog, P25 Conventional,
Phase 1 & 2 Trunking and DMR
• 4000 Channels / 100 Zones / 1000 Talk groups
• Bluetooth
• 6 Watts RF Output power
• Radio must support multi-band Operation. VHF,
UHF, 700/800Mhz
• Radio must support FIPS Certified AES/DES
Encryption
• Radio must support ARC4 Encryption
• 3 Watts Audio Output Power
Mobiles need to include installation, Labor, Havis
Mounting Plate, Roof Mount Gain Antenna.
Each portable radio package needs to include 2
Batteries, Desktop Charger, Remote Speaker micro-
phone, Programming.
Include pricing to add control station with power sup-
ply and tone remote adapter that is wired to existing
dispatch consoles, with a building mounted roof An-
tenna, programming, console Configuration.
All bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope, and
that envelope enclosed in a second sealed enve-
lope, and on each envelope there shall be a notation
that a bid is enclosed and what the bid covers.
The right is reserved to reject any and all bids.
